The journal Multidisciplinarni Pristupi u Edukaciji i Rehabilitaciji (MPER – Multidisciplinary Approaches in Education and Rehabilitation) is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical behavior in scholarly publishing. We align our policies and procedures with the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
All stakeholders involved in the publication process—authors, reviewers, and editors—are expected to uphold the following ten COPE Core Practices:
1. Allegations of Misconduct
All allegations of research or publication misconduct (e.g., data fabrication, plagiarism, authorship fraud) are investigated thoroughly, confidentially, and in accordance with COPE flowcharts.
2. Authorship and Contributorship
Authorship must reflect substantial contributions to the conception, execution, or interpretation of the research. All contributors must be appropriately acknowledged.
3. Complaints and Appeals
MPER provides a clear and fair mechanism for handling complaints and appeals related to editorial decisions or ethical concerns. Appeals are reviewed by senior editorial staff or an independent committee.
4. Conflicts of Interest
All participants in the publishing process must disclose any potential conflicts of interest—financial, institutional, or personal—that could influence the work.
5. Data and Reproducibility
Authors must provide accurate data and, where possible, share underlying datasets to support reproducibility. Data manipulation and selective reporting are unacceptable.
6. Ethical Oversight
All research involving human or animal subjects must be conducted in accordance with ethical standards and approved by relevant ethics committees. Authors must confirm compliance within their submissions.
7. Intellectual Property
Proper attribution must be given for all sources, and permission must be obtained for reuse of copyrighted materials. All work must respect intellectual property rights.
8. Journal Management
MPER is governed transparently, with clearly defined editorial roles and processes that ensure editorial independence and the consistent application of ethical standards.
9. Peer Review Process
We employ a rigorous, fair, and double-blind peer review system. Reviewers must act with integrity, evaluate work objectively, and maintain strict confidentiality.
10. Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections
We support post-publication dialogue. If significant issues are identified, the journal will issue appropriate corrections, retractions, or editorial expressions of concern in line with COPE guidelines.
